Yellow-Rumped Warblers

October 7, 2021
Yellow-Rumped Warbler, 2021
Monte Verde Park, Rocklin, CA

Fall time is officially here when you see Yellow-Rumped Warblers return to the wooded areas of Rocklin. Typically this species can be seen in Fall, Winter, and early Spring but disappears in Summer when temperatures are sweltering. This group was diving through the air and catching insects around the surface of the creek by Monte Verde Park. A few individuals had a more faded quality to their yellows. In winter when breeding colors aren’t necessary their colors tend to fade.
